It's yours. Always.

Plain language, no fine-print games. You own your domain and your website, and if you ever want to take them with you, we hand everything over quickly and at no charge.

What you own

The domain name and the finished website are yours — the moment they're paid for, full stop. We may build and host them for you, but ownership sits with you, not with us.

  • Your domain is registered in your name. When we register it for you, it's billed at cost — exactly what the registrar charges, no markup — and the registration belongs to you.
  • Your website — the design, content, and files we deliver — is yours to keep, move, or host anywhere.

Leaving — taking your site with you

If you ever decide to move on, we make it quick and painless. No hostage situations, no exit fees, no runaround.

  • We transfer your domain to any registrar or account you name — at no charge — within 5 business days of your request.
  • We hand over your website files so you (or your next developer) can host it wherever you like.
  • You'll get the authorization code and unlock needed to complete the move — the standard, registrar-supported transfer process.

One thing outside our control: ICANN locks every domain from transferring for 60 days after it's first registered or after a previous transfer. If that window applies, we'll keep your site live and managed until it clears, then transfer right away.

Already have a domain? We'll take it over

Bringing a domain you already own is no problem — and you choose how hands-off you want to be:

  • You keep it, we manage it. The domain stays in your account; we just point it at your new site. Nothing transfers to us, renewals stay with you, and if we ever part ways you simply repoint it.
  • We take it fully under our umbrella. Prefer zero involvement? We can transfer the domain into our care and handle registration, renewals, and DNS for you — one less thing on your plate. It's still yours, and our painless handover applies if you ever leave.

A bring-your-own-domain build carries a little extra integration work up front, which is why it's priced a touch higher. The one thing outside our control on a full takeover is the ICANN 60-day transfer lock on newly registered domains — if it applies, we manage the DNS in the meantime and complete the transfer the moment it clears.

Hosting & maintenance

While you're on a maintenance plan, we host your site, keep it secure, and make small updates. Maintenance is month-to-month (or yearly) — cancel anytime. Your domain is always billed separately from maintenance and is never bundled into it.

If you cancel maintenance, your site and domain are still yours — we'll help you move to your own hosting, or your domain stays parked and renewable in your name.

Support, honestly

AJH Studio is a small, hands-on studio — so support is scoped and responsive rather than 24/7. We answer quickly during normal hours and handle the upkeep your plan covers. Larger changes or new features are quoted as their own small project, so you always know the cost before we start.

Payments

Build fees are due up front before work begins. Maintenance and subscriptions are billed on their cycle through Stripe. Prices are honest and stated plainly — domains at cost, builds and features scoped with you, no surprise line items.
